Happy Valentine’s day everyone!

It might not be very original but as it is valentine’s day I just wanted to make a reminder about how important it is to love yourself.

A lot of us have difficulties to understand that concept. What is it to love yourself? What does it mean?

I can tell you that loving yourself is the most essential prerequisite to living your best life. When you feel great about who you are, you radiate an undeniable magnetic energy that attracts all the things you desire to you.

People you’ve been meaning to call “magically” show up in your life. Ideas and next actions for your projects come easily. Your relationships with others — even those with whom you’ve had problems in the past — are lighter and more fun. When you’re kind, generous, and respectful toward yourself, you feel worthy and deserving of claiming the gifts of this world.

Here are a few things we can do on your journey to self love:

  1. Doing the things I love every day

  2. Priotirizing my own health and happiness above anything else

  3. Eating food that serves me

  4. Exercising , moving my body

  5. Laughing, and seeking out things that make me laugh

  6. Forgiving myself for doing mistakes

  7. Admitting my desires and why I want them

  8. Admitting what scares me

  9. Reading books, watching TV shows that make me feel good about myself and inspire me

  10. Finding ways that I can make myself feel safe

  11. Writing a list of positive things about myself

  12. Telling the truth (especially to myself)

  13. Remembering that feelings are important messages

  14. Honouring myself and who I really am

  15. Realizing that it is ok not to be ok

  16. For every criticism , come with 3 compliments about myself

  17. Trusting myself, because nobody knows better than me what is the best for me

  18. Not comparing myself to others, we all have different journey

  19. Keeping only beliefs that are beneficial for me

  20. Surrounding myself with beauty

  21. Communicating my true feelings to those around me

  22. Not spending time around people that make me feel bad about myself

  23. Ask for help if I need help, it is ok to ask for help

  24. Expressing my creativity in ways that I enjoy, like painting, writing, making collages…

  25. Writing a list of what makes me happy and committing to do one thing from the list every day, as simple as having brewing a cup of coffee, talking to a friend, playing with your children…

The more you learn about loving yourself the more you can add to this list.

The goal to loving yourself is to get you to a space where you are attracting into your experience the kind of people and things that add to your happiness so you can be loved in the way you’ve always wanted to be loved.
